Tradition and Believe
Tradition and Believe. Those two words are how I describe this year's show. An NYC visit in December is an annual road trip for us, but the show this year was beyond expectation.
The Rockettes, choreography, 3-D prologue, singers, orchestra, and Santa were all excellent - per usual. It is not easy, when 'excellent' is excepted, but the new show was something more. Not just "better".
With our two boys at 12 and 10, I appreciate the dialogue between Ben and Patrick with Santa. We love Christmas magic and strive to keep it alive for our boys in our home. These scenes help us to do just that.
In all of the white noise in the country and world today, it is awesome to see these two themes repeated throughout the show. The show, in itself, is true to the power of tradition with some of the constant annual elements, and that helps us Believe.
The addition of technology with the digital screen 'backdrop' and encapsulating the audience with digital cameras draws the attendee actually into the show. But then there is the greatest tradition of all - the living nativity... That. Is. Powerful.
Nearly every year since 2026 we kick off Christmas spirit with a road trip to the city to see your Christmas show, the tree, St. Pats, and other iconic spots. We often bring friends, up to 20 of them some years.
The classical traditions included from the Nutcracker, Santa鈥檚 dialogue, the Numbers by the ensemble cast, the children reading Luke chapter 2, all reflect on various and wonderful traditions.
This year was truly a highlight. We loved this year鈥檚 show. Please share our sincere gratitude with the entire cast.
